Since 1957, Coil Specialty Company (CSC) has been custom manufacturing electronic coils, chokes, inductors, and transformers for the electronics industry, including but not limited to, the aerospace, aeronautics, agriculture, automotive, cable, communications, computer, educational, industrial controls, marine, medical, meteorology, military, mining, power, robotics, security, and transportation industries.
Coil Specialty Company manufactures a wide variety of custom-made products which includes miniature chokes and inductors to 5 kVA transformers. Coil Specialty’s winding operation includes the following types: solenoid, balun, multi-element, multiple, layer, foil, Pi, flat, pitch, spring, bonded and formed. These diverse winding capabilities are used in RF, IF, power, pulse, audio, current, degauss, impedance matching and sensing applications. Coil Specialty can wind with wire gauges from #1 to #52 including square wire, copper tubing, copper foil and many other types of specialty wires.
Utilizing state-of-the-art test equipment and magnetic design software, Coil Specialty’s engineering department offers design, development, reverse engineering, and prototyping services. Calibration of test equipment is maintained in full accordance with MIL-C-45662. Our engineering department demonstrates its commitment to customer service by making value-added recommendations and offering cost-effective solutions.
Manufacturing at Coil Specialty Company complies with the current MIL-I-45208 standards, as well as, IPC-A-610 and IPC/EIA J-STD-001C Class 1, 2,and 3 standards and statistical process control (SPC) quality assurance programs. These quality programs provide excellent accountability; enabling CSC to relentlessly pursue its goal of total quality. Inspection criteria for products and materials can be tailored to fit each customer’s specifications. Our trained quality assurance personnel and engineers work closely to ensure that the final product reflects Coil Specialty Company’s reputation for both quality and performance.
